Globe Life Park

Historic MLB ballpark (1994–2019) in Arlington, TX.

What was it like to attend a game at Globe Life Park?

The heat defined every game at Globe Life Park. Summer afternoons in Arlington pushed field-level temperatures past 100 degrees, and sitting in the lower bowl felt like leaning over an open oven — sunscreen, ice-cold Lone Star, and a hand-held fan were non-negotiable gear. Fans endured it anyway, drawn by a park that genuinely looked the part: a granite-and-brick exterior modeled on classic double-deck construction, a home run porch in right field that brought the bleachers close to the action, and an office building tucked into the facade in center that gave the whole structure an unmistakable silhouette. The crowd ran rowdy and loud when the Rangers were competing, especially in the back-to-back World Series runs of 2010 and 2011. Most fans drove in off I-30, parking in the surrounding lots. The Rangers crossed the street in 2020, and the old park was converted for football and soccer.
